An opening like no other in years..
On Friday 17 April, the exhibition "Jacek Sroka. Paintings in the Belly of the Leviathan" opened at the Archetura office building, ul. Cystersów 9, Kraków. Almost 300 guests came to this remarkable opening, and it was well worth it. Surrounded by 74 large-format paintings by Jacek Sroka, the audience heard music by Motion Trio. There was poetry too :) read by the building's designer, architect Ryszard Czapla, while actress Monika Jakowczuk read a passage from the Goncourt brothers' journal and an explication of the painting "The Last Round of Yukio Mishima". The evening was hosted by Jarek Migoń, author of, among others, the film series "Jacek Sroka – Stories of Paintings" and the film "The Sexuality of Kwiatów Polskich Street". The organisers, grafiQa and Archeton Sp. z o.o., invite everyone with a sensitivity to art. The exhibition runs until 17 July 2015.
