Extending existing visual identities

At our clients' request we modify existing graphic designs and website templates. We add new elements, extending visual identities and filling in whatever components are missing.

Why do consistency and quality of a visual identity matter?

Think of it like clothing: the way you dress and look after yourself is how everyone around you will perceive you. It is no use having a jacket that matches your trousers or a tie that goes with your shirt if your shoes are from a different world altogether. The same applies to a company's visual identity. Sooner or later, inconsistent elements or poor quality will reflect on your business, because there will always be others who are better groomed, better dressed or simply smell nicer.

Below are some examples of visual identities we have created or extended. When producing promotional materials, we made sure they remained consistent with our clients' visual identities.

  • What is needed to extend an existing identity?

Materials required to extend a visual identity with new designs:

    • The brand book, if one exists.
    • If only a logo exists – a high-resolution version, preferably in vector form: an .AI, CDR, .EPS or PDF file.
    • Samples of previous work, such as a business card, leaflet, advertising board, press advert or any other element of your company identity you have.
    • The typeface used so far, or its name.
