Our animations at the Olga Boznańska exhibition at the National Museum
From Friday 24 October you can visit an exhibition of paintings by Olga Boznańska: 173 of her works, alongside paintings by the artists who inspired her: Diego Velázquez, Édouard Manet and James McNeill Whistler. Part of the exhibition is the "Painting Clinic" – a multimedia presentation made up of three animated films, each a few minutes long, which we produced for the museum.
Based on selected works by the artist, the films present the results of conservation work that has revealed the paintings' original colours, recovered from beneath layers of varnish. Thanks to our animated presentations, visitors can learn about the scope of the conservation work, find out more about the techniques involved and compare the paintings before and after conservation.
The exhibition runs until February 2015. Do come and see it.
You can find out more about the exhibition on the website of the National Museum in Kraków
