Websites and online shops
We design and build CMS-based websites, approaching every project individually. We help with the formalities of domain registration, or manage domains on your behalf while keeping costs as low as possible. We provide server space and e-mail with a convenient interface and useful features. We offer CMS training and share our knowledge of building an online presence.
To begin with, here are a few things worth knowing when thinking about your own website.
What do you need to launch your own website with a content management system (CMS)? Here are our suggestions:
Domain, server, design, implementation
The first thing to do as soon as you have come up with a name for your business is to register the right domain name. A domain is simply a kind of address that allows your website to be found. You cannot buy a domain outright, but you can register it for your own use, with full rights to use it as long as you pay the annual registration fee. A bit like renting a flat, really. :)
An address on its own, of course, does not get you very far. But once you have one, you can look for a place for it to lead to. A virtual server is space on a server – a kind of home for your website. We have an address and a home, so all that is left is to move in :) . This is the moment to start thinking seriously about what the website will look like – its visual layer, but also what will process and store the information you enter. To stretch the metaphor further, we need a major-domo – a Content Management System.

Quick.Cms is a family of simple, fast CMS systems from the Polish company OpenSolution. We have been designing websites on them for years, choosing the edition that best suits each client's needs:
- Quick.Cms.Ext Plus – for extensive corporate websites: multiple page types, sliders, widgets, galleries, tags and language versions;
- Quick.Cms.Lite2 – for very simple sites such as business-card websites or one-page sites, where quick launch and ease of use are what matter;
- Quick.Cms.Ext Store – for online shops; it has successfully replaced the earlier Quick.Cart.Ext script.
A CMS – Content Management System – is the essential tool that lets you make extensive changes to your website without sending it into orbit... It is the master of the house, letting you enter content, but only as far as it allows. What you can do depends on what the CMS includes and how far the website design makes use of its features. In other words, if the designer decided that only text and images could be changed, that is how it will be – and nothing more. But if the system offers more possibilities, you will be able to make spectacular changes.
